Filmed by Peter Myers, I Am SOVEREIGN chronicles the making of Emmy Award-winning musician and composer, PaviElle French’s latest album, SOVEREIGN (available on all streaming platforms). In the film, PaviElle deeply opens up about her thoughts, journey, musicianship, and activism in her art, during this time of racial unrest, the pandemic, and her thoughts on Freedom and Liberation. This documentary is a powerful testament to PaviElle’s courage, perseverance and artistry. This work precedes PaviElle’s latest piece, The SOVEREIGN Suite, commissioned by The Schubert Club and performed in Saint Paul, MN, May 2022.
