‘The Fire Within, The Ocean Without’, (aka ‘A Fire Inside, An Ocean Without’) featuring Sigríður Sigurðardóttir and Friðrik Erlingsson, is a special feature about Gudrid’s origins, shot on location in Iceland in 2016.
‘Far Traveler’ (working title) is a new opera from American composer Jeffrey Leiser. It follows the life of Gudrid Thorbjarnardóttir [985-1050], a Norse explorer and settler.
From the composer of ‘The Summit Symphony’ and the films of Eric Leiser. Currently in development. Supported by the American-Scandinavian Foundation.
